Preparing to Work as a TA (Pre-L1) Bee Mon AM

This course is designed to support you develop your confidence, knowledge, skills and understanding to progress on to a recognised Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification. you will develop skills for learning which will include writing assignments, taking part in discussions and effective research skills. This course will enable you to gain a good insight into the work of as a teaching assistant in a primary or secondary school or college. During you course you will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a teaching assistant, the importance of health and safety and safeguarding and how to promote positive relationships.Your tutor will work with you to understand what you are already familiar with and able to do. They learning targets and tasks for you to work towards achieving this. Lessons will be a mix of class teaching, discussion, team work and independent study. Your tutor will also check in with you regarding your progress and give you feedback to help you continue and develop your knowledge and skills.
