First Steps in Computing

This course is for complete beginners and for people who want to brush up on their basic computer skills It covers: The 'big picture' of how the Internet and World Wide Web works, how to connect via wifi. How to turn a laptop on and off How to use the trackpad/Mouse and keyboard to control the compter and type and edit text. How to use the World Wide Web to follow personal interests How to use email to keep in touch with friends and family How to avoid online dangers such as viruses, malware, spyware, hacking, identity theft and fraud.
