Healthcare Roles and You - Primary Care Navigator

A bespoke training programme delivered by Community Learning Partnerships and in partnership with care partners and Leeds City College, to support and prepare candidates to progress into vacancies within the health and care sector, in particularly admin and customer service roles. Learners will attend sessions to improve their employability with a focus around skills and qualities and interview skills for roles within the health and care sector. Learners must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills, be open to roles within healthcare and admin, and have a commitment to completing the programme to ensure positive progression opportunities.

• There will be joint working with visits from the Careers advice service, and appointments with a makeover team who will help learners with interview clothes and confidence building. Learners will improve skills including communication, active listening skills, understanding diversity, digital skills, English, interview skills, dealing with challenging behaviour, emotional intelligence and handling delicate situations. Learners will have the opportunity to apply for live roles within the health and care sector with the programme partners, and support will be available for learners to progress into employment.
