Course overview:

The course is guided by the tutor to develop and build skills week by week. There is a mixture of, talks, group discussions and practical tasks carried out with individual support by the tutor where required.

  • A practical course for people who are currently out of work and in some cases, struggling with their health & wellbeing and wish to improve their confidence and self-esteem to cope effectively and assertively in different life situations.

    This self-awareness course is ideal for anyone who wish to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem.

    The aim is to build a mutually supportive, safe group, where you can learn new techniques and experiment with different ways of being, as well as improving your life and giving you more control.

    Course Goals/ Intentions:

    By the end of this course, learners will be able to recognise the traits of a confident person, identify situations where you are under pressure and understand how to react in a range of situations. Learners will also be able to identify barriers that can hold you back from achieving goals.

  • Learners will be asked to do specific tasks, which will form part of the self-assessment throughout the course. With tutor support, learners will build up a portfolio of work.

    This course will help learners to:

  • Become more aware of their own level of confidence in different situations.
  • Understand and apply a range of techniques to improve behaviour.
  • Become more aware of the impact that low confidence has in everyday life and work.
  • Set targets to reach goals and further resources.
