Course overview:
The course is guided by the tutor to develop and build skills week by week. There is a mixture of, talks, group discussions and practical tasks carried out with individual support by the tutor where required.

A practical course for people who are currently out of work and in some cases, struggling with their health & wellbeing and wish to improve their confidence and self-esteem to cope effectively and assertively in different life situations.
This self-awareness course is ideal for anyone who wish to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem.
The aim is to build a mutually supportive, safe group, where you can learn new techniques and experiment with different ways of being, as well as improving your life and giving you more control.
Course Goals/ Intentions:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to recognise the traits of a confident person, identify situations where you are under pressure and understand how to react in a range of situations. Learners will also be able to identify barriers that can hold you back from achieving goals.

Learners will be asked to do specific tasks, which will form part of the self-assessment throughout the course. With tutor support, learners will build up a portfolio of work.
This course will help learners to:
- Become more aware of their own level of confidence in different situations.
- Understand and apply a range of techniques to improve behaviour.
- Become more aware of the impact that low confidence has in everyday life and work.
- Set targets to reach goals and further resources.
