ESOL - Where I live

This is an English language course for speakers of other languages (ESOL) to improve confidence and develop language skills in talking about their home and the community where they live and finding their way around. It is open to any learner from Pre-entry to Entry 3 level. The language covered will include vocabulary about the home and the local area and describing where they live. They will practice finding their way around the neighbourhood and how to ask for directions. They may also learn how to read a timetable.

This course is currently FULL. To join the waiting list, you can contact the centre, and give them your name, phone number and email address. You will then be invited to meet the tutor, ready to start in September, January, or April, when there are spaces. Then the tutor can check if the course is right for you and help you to register. (If you are already studying at university, or ESOL at Leeds City College, then it’s not possible to join the classes.)
