Get Ahead - CH3
To empower Jobcentre customers with skills, knowledge and confidence required to get ahead in their career aspirations. This flexible module-based course covers content such as: Career research, online I.T basics, using social media to jobsearch, tailoring your application to an advert, analysing job vacancies, interview techniques, Universal Credit and more. The course is classroom-based for the 1 st and 3 rd week whilst the 2 nd week is non-guided learning. On this week the tutor agrees 'out of the classroom' individual learners goals such as customer service tasks, online learning (using Learn My Way website), speculative applications etc. The group are brought back together for the final week where all the theoretical learning is put into practice and learners take part in activities including: mock 1-2-1 and group activity task-based interviews, team building activities, updating 'Your Journal', uploading C.V's to jobsites, completing real application forms etc.
