GCCC Upcycle and Create: Paper Beading Workshop
To encourage resourceful creativity at home, reducing waste by upcycling junk into useful and beautiful things! This taster will form a practical introduction to creating usable beads out of paper which might otherwise go in the bin. Get creative and turn old paper which might otherwise go in the bin, into fabulous, unique beads. You could then use these to make unique jewellery for yourself or your children, or string together for all sorts of fabulous creations like table mats and purses. An online taster session with discussion, tutor introduction, demonstration and practical crafting. You will need to bring along: Paper to cut up and make into beads - pages from an old magazine, newspaper or junkmail are ideal Ruler, scissors, pencil or pen, glue (pritt stick is great), narrow sticks such as cocktail sticks / barbeque skewer.
