GCCC Upcycle and Create: Funky Woven Paper Bag

Come along to this online session & learn how to upcycle old magazines / newspaper and other unwanted paper into a funky, eye catching & usable bag or table mat. Objectives: Consider measurement and scale of paper and its effect on the finished outcome Fold paper appropriately so that no raw edges are shown Practice weaving to create a new material from paper strips Create your own unique piece of upcycled art. You will need: an old magazine or newspaper, or a stack of junk mail (you will need several sheets) Ruler, pencil, sellotape / masking tape It may also be helpful to have: coloured tape, such as insulation / electrical / carpet tape, sticky back plastic for weatherproofing, hole punch & handle material if making a book-style bag eg ribbon / cord
