GCCC Upcycle and Create: Book Sculptures

A practical, online, creative workshop involving discussion, tutor instruction, demonstration and practical crafting. Learn about how a few simple adaptations, additions and techniques can transform household waste into fabulous, useful and beautiful items. In this session we will explore book folding to create decorative sculptures for around the home. No experience is required - suitable for beginners or improvers Objectives: Discuss what book folding is, considering a range of possible projects & designs Consider placement of design within the book being used, including centralising the design Fold book pages according to a plan and chosen outcome Use appropriate measurements and angles Please bring: An old book which you don't mind adapting into a sculpture (or which you don't want to read again - an old, paperback novel would be great), a ruler, pencil and an open mind
