Introduction to Pilates & Our Wellbeing - Hillcrest Academy

Introduction to Pilates and Well Being (8-12 Weeks) * Pilates - exercise consisting of controlled movements, stretching and breathing that will improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness. This course is about introducing Pilates as form of exercise, the participants will learn basic to advanced Pilate exercises and explores health and wellbeing topics within the sessions in response to learner needs. Our tutor can also include Dance into the course if people are interested as well as general fitness. The 2 hour sessions are made up of 45 minutes to an hour of exercise with breaks and the final part of the session will be around health awareness. Pilates is a very inclusive form of exercise that almost everyone can get involved in. The tutor will complete an initial assessment with all learners and consider individual needs.
