This course is for peope new to smartphones or tablets or for people who wish to brush up on their mobile computing skills. It covers: The 'big' picture of how the Inernet, World Wide Web and digital technology works in general terms Hardware controls on the phone: Power, Volume, Home button. Turning the device on/off/asleep and how to control the sleep/wake function in settings The touch screen interface and how to interact with it Understand how to use settings to personalise your device - notifications etc Organising the home screen(s) Connecting to wifi Using the World Wide Web, email, address book, camera, photos, phone and texting apps Sharing pictures with freinds and family. Installing new apps and uninstalling unused apps Awareness of potential online dangers and how to avoid them
